Control Groups (cgroups) provide a mechanism for aggregating/partitioning sets of tasks, and all their future children, into hierarchical groups with specialized behaviour. libcgroup allows one to manipulate, control, administrate and monitor cgroups and the associated controllers. This package contains the PAM module to move a user session into an existing cgroup by attempting to match uid and gid against the defined cgroup rules configuration.

2014-08-28 - Christian Kastner <> libcgroup (0.41-6) unstable; urgency=medium * debian/control: - Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.6 (no changes needed) - Drop autotools-dev build dependency, dh-autoreconf is sufficient - Fix typo in libcgroup-dbg package description * debian/source/options: - Drop, as xz compression is now the default * debian/rules: - Drop override for dh_builddeb, xz compression is now the default - Disable autoconf silent rules. The verbose output both generally useful and also specifically for build log scanning (hardening flags, etc.) - Simplify the installation stage through refactoring * debian/copyright: - Fix license shortname (BSD-3-clause, not BSD)

2014-07-26 - Christian Kastner <> libcgroup (0.41-5) unstable; urgency=low * debian/control: - Set myself to new maintainer. Closes: #756092 - Use versioned Breaks instead of Conflicts - Use versioned Replaces instead of unversioned one - Update Vcs- fields to collab-maint - Drop redundant Section - Add Multi-Arch fields * debian/patches (refreshed): - Update headers of existing patches to play more nicely with gbp-pq * debian/watch: - Create watch file * debian/copyright: - Correct upstream license from LGPL-2.1+ to LGPL-2.1. Closes: #756915 - Add myself - src/pam/pam_cgroup.c also contains LGPL-2.1 code * debian/patches (added): - 0005-Syntax-fixes-for-man-pages
