The ssh library was designed to be used by programmers needing a working SSH
implementation by the mean of a library. The complete control of the client
is made by the programmer. With libssh, you can remotely execute programs,
transfer files, use a secure and transparent tunnel for your remote programs.
With its SFTP implementation, you can play with remote files easily.
This package contains development files to build the OpenSSL flavor.

libssh (0.8.7-1) unstable; urgency=medium
* New upstream bug fix release 0.8.7.
This fixes various crashes, buffer overflows, and other bugs.
Drop our three backported patches, they are included in this release
now. For details, see
* autopkgtest: Check ssh server under valgrind.
This exposes a long-standing libssh bug with the curve25519-sha256 key
exchange algorithm, causing an "incorrect signature" failure on 32 bit
machines under valgrind. Add a hack to switch to a different algorithm,
until this is properly investigated and reported.

* 0002-server-extensions.patch: server: Correctly handle extensions.
Fixes a regression introduced in 0.8.6 that breaks server-side host key
algorithm negotiation. Patch taken from upstream stable-0.8 branch.
(Closes: #918892)
* Add Martin Pitt as co-maintainer, with Laurent's permission.
* Add autopkgtest: Add a mock ssh server implementation using libssh, and
test the OpenSSH client against it. This covers password and pubkey
